The coating system with a perforated basket of the Nicomac Perforated Super Coater (PSC) allows a high volume of air to pass through the tablet bed. Thanks to a dedicated and easily interchangeable suction system, the airflow is directed exactly where the tablets are located, depending on the quantity of cores to be processed. This ensures efficient drying under any condition, contributing to a significant reduction in energy consumption.

Perfect mixing
Perfect mixing is the foundation of flawless core coating, a process that requires the homogeneous distribution of the solution and drying air. Thanks to in-depth studies and operational tests, Nicomac has developed highly efficient mixing blades for perforated coating pans. Their exclusive design minimizes the coverage of the holes, ensuring perfect mixing under all conditions.
Sliding spray gun arm
The spraying system is designed with a sliding arm that is easily removable through the front port, allowing for easy maintenance and cleaning of the spray guns. These guns can be positioned at the ideal distance using an exclusive device that brings them closer to the bed of tablets. The angle, pressure, and spray quantity can be automatically adjusted through the control system.
Automatic cleaning system
Years of experience in Washing and Clean In Place (WIP-CIP) technology have allowed Nicomac to create a state-of-the-art, cGMP-compliant system that can be used for all cleaning processes requiring validation, making it the best solution for cleaning perforated baskets. All models are equipped with several divo-spheres that ensure thorough cleaning at every point. The control system allows for the input of numerous recipes to automatically manage all phases of washing, rinsing, draining fluids, and drying, ensuring perfect cleaning in a short amount of time.
A mobile skid contains a 10-bar washing pump, detergent pump and tank, pipes, valves, actuators, a diaphragm pump for removing waste fluids, and a control panel with pneumatic and electronic components.
The cleaning of the perforated basket is guaranteed by a system of divo-spheres which, thanks to the high pressure developed by the skid pump, ensures the cleaning of every single hole.
