Cleanroom False Ceiling Types
Hermetic Suspended Ceiling
Ceiling panels 1,250 mm x 2-5000 mm (4' x 10' - 20')
This type of ceiling is made with laminated sandwich panels (both sides pre-painted with epoxy powder coating) or plastic laminate (HPL), with various types of insulation depending on the client's needs. Flexible and easy to assemble, it can be installed either before or after the cleanroom, resting on top of the walls or allowing the walls to extend above the ceiling, room by room. The supporting aluminum profile is housed by clicking between the panels. A threaded tension bar, with an adjustment ring, can be attached to the existing ceiling.

T-Grid Accessible Suspended Ceilings
The exclusive T-grid accessible suspended cleanroom false ceilings consist of an aluminum load-bearing structure designed to support ceiling panels, lights, and filtration units. The T-grid is supported by a tension bar with adjustable rods, which are connected to the overhead support at four intervals. Two standard panel sizes are available: 2′ x 2′ (610 x 610 mm) or 2′ x 4′ (610 x 1210 mm).
Nicomac's ceiling tiles for cleanrooms can be designed to be recessed into the grid. Depending on the type of tile used, the entire cleanroom system can be certified as an accessible ceiling (single load of 160 kg per square meter) and positioned in the most unfavorable static location. Pharmaceutical T-Grid ceilings can also be supplied as non-accessible when ceiling maintenance is provided from the room. In this case, less expensive pharmaceutical tiles are used.

Seismic-resistant ceilings
In the event of an earthquake, most of the damage to industrial buildings affects non-structural elements, particularly suspended ceilings: entire panels, or parts of them, may fall and cause damage to goods, interrupt production, and most importantly, endanger the safety of people.
To simplify the approach to the problem of seismic-resistant ceilings, Nicomac and HILTI Italia have developed six standard solutions. Depending on the seismic zones, three applications can be adopted for accessible and non-accessible ceilings. Nicomac can offer the service of calculating and certifying a dedicated project for special conditions with a specialized engineer.
Integrated system with the standard static solution: some static supports are replaced with seismic ones, with a regular distribution based on seismic actions.
Installation flexibility: minimization of interference with static supports thanks to hinged upwind connections.
Compatibility of seismic solutions with supporting profiles: MF-FL12 connection between the vertical rail and horizontal aluminum rails.
Rigid system: fastening to the perimeter walls of the cleanroom is not required.
